Sonnet

Imagine a school where all hope is lost
The halls are darkened with the students souls
Quality education but at what cost
coughs echo through the halls dead and frozen with colds

Commandingly the bell forces us on
Students move on slowly dragging their feet
Why oh why have their ambitions moved on
Finishing a class is now quite a feat

The grades are high but with moral so low
Our minds have been sharpened but our hearts dulled
Our own minds have become our greatest foe
Our souls are pulled into sleep if lulled

This school is trying to bring us all up
But it is only pushing us all down.

The house was made of

Blue berry muffins.  These were no ordinary muffins though, they were as hard as cement, and the blue berries were actually missiles, diligently protecting in inhabitants.  Just then a wobbly old wagon rolled up to the front door. The blue berry missiles silently locked into the foreign object, waiting for a threat to appear.  An old man stepped out of the wagon, his beard fire red and falling all the way down the dust on his shoes.  He squinted looking around the house, checking for any spy's trying to learn how to get in.  A voice code lock appeared from behind the muffins.  He whispered the secret password into the machine, uttering the word so quietly the machine barely picked it up "Gabby".    The door immediate swung open and the man hopped inside and slammed the door shut again.  With a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye, he knew he was safe and sound in his house.

A Feast of the undead

If i had the chance to invite three people, living or dead, to a dinner party the choices would be obvious.  First off we would need some entertainment so i would bring along Will Ferrell cause he is hilarious. I would force him to wear his costume from elf and have him eat spaghetti with M&M's and skittles on it.  Then i would need someone with wicked stories to tell. Filling this place would be Travis Pastrona the dirt bike legend.  With all the crazy stuff he has done on and off camera he must have some amazing stories.  lastly i would want someone i actually know to be there so it wouldn't be so weird eating with strangers.  So i would bring Mr. Currie to come with me cause he is funny and would be really uncomfortable sitting next to Will since he does think he is funny.

Assonance poem

with this gloomy forcast tonight, almost forgot this Assonance poem
This had given me quiet a fright tonight
Because when i got home i grabbed a bite and the flew a kite
The wind would fight, flying it too all my might
Then the kite hit me in the head, my brother called to me "Stay away from the light!"
But the light was too bright
When i woke, i was about to choke
I had fallen into the water for my brother this was much of a bother
When i got better i wrote a letter
It was to my grandma i wrote it out by hand
I gave my sister a high five then i pushed her off the high diveI hope she doesnt fall into a bee hive,  because then she will be less alive.

The Most Terrifying moment of my life so far...

The most terrifying moment of my life so far actually happens everyday.  It all starts when i am rushed from fifth hour to the cafeteria for lunch.  Normally i sit down at my table with my cold lunch friends and we talk for a while, waiting for the check out lines to die down.   The now deafing chatter in the lunch room tells me that the lines are gone and it is time to go get food. I make my way there, picking out my favorite meal,  grabbing a chocolate milk carton.  As i walk my heart rate starts to climb, the moment is getting closer.  There is no way to avoid it.  I walk on toward the check out grabbing some chips from the rack as i go.  I put in my lunch password, my chest is about to explode.  My sweaty hand in my pocket clutches my wallet for dear life.  This is the moment i dread everyday for it is unavoidable.  Do i have enough money in my account?  Will i be yelled at for not having enough? What if i have to go into the backroom and ask the boss lunch lady for permission to go into the hole?As i punch my last numbers into the machine, i barely manage to spit out my own name.  The lunch lady (or Lord) punches into her computer what i have on my tray.  Feeling like i am about to ralph, the computer in its electronic voice say "Thank you, come again".  I walk proudly away. My heart is calming down.  Before i know it i am back with my friends ready to eat my meal.

earliest childhood memory

It was a sunny day back in Lincoln Nebraska.  The family and i were outside on my drive way playing basketball.  My dad had gone back inside to get the camera so we could remember this moment forever.  As he came back out, our newish puppy Freckles came dashing out the door.  Before any of us could catch her she ran out into the street and sat down.  At this same moment a red van from down the street was coming out.  The van was heading right towards Freckles.  Thinking quickly my dad yelled out to her to lay down flat on the ground.  Freckles lay down on the street and the speeding van whipped over her head.  As Freckles ran back to us we all had a good laugh.....

And then i woke up (apparently).

July

Blue
The color of pride
Feels like a goal achieved
Birds chipping a victorious song
Fresh grass fills your nose
The chlorine from the pool still still sting's your toung
It is still the best time of your life

A man/woman walks out into the cold night air. His/her hands are shaking from what just happened…

The icy cold pistol grip shotgun still clinched in her hand the cold blood of the undead running down her body.  She had held the zombies off this time but the gunshots would have attracted another barrage.  By morning the building would once again be fill to the brim with warriors of the undead.  Knowing she must leave she gathers her clothes and shotgun shells and flee's.  Running down the street, she checks every car to see if any still run.  She finds one that runs and has a full tank of gas.  Her luck has finally changed,  revving up the engine of the Hummer 2 she found her heart pounds.

Story continued

As i walk to the Television i pass the medical tent.  I dont even need to look, i have seen it all before.  There is a constant scream of agony.  The hygein is uncontrolably low, this poses the biggest problem for the amputees.  We used to send the wounded out of the camp for treatment, but since infections run rampet in all the the camps, we end up just doing the best we can here.

I arrive at the tent with the TV, but just as i enter there is an deafening explosion behind me.  I immdiately leap away from the tent and crawl the temporary safty behind a sandbag bunker.

The Cinquain

Maddie
Really likes pie
She would eat it all day
But since she is already fat
She don't

I wake up and try to take a deep breath, but the deeper the breath the more severe the pain. The ground is hard beneath my back, and I feel a dull pain in my arm…

But so life has become here in Sudan.  It's been ten years since i joined the rebelion.  I was just 8 years old.  We fight for freedom and revenge on our country for what they have done to our tribes.  We encounter enemy troops daily. The battles are short, but gruesome.  I am the sole surviver from my tribe when we joined up.  When i try and remember that day when the rebelion came to recruite it seemed more like we were kidnapped, but i am glad they took me.  The people i have met here have made me strong, or atleast strong enough to kill for my country.

I try to sit up in my tent.  The chatter of gun fire off in the distance starts the sooth me back into sleep.  But i know i need to get up now and begin my day.  I unzip my tent and look outside.  The fires have been made and there are some other boys watch the new "Rambo" movie that we just got.  I reach back into my tent and pick up my AK47, strapping it back onto my back.  I feel naked when i dont have it with me.

Life boat

Well bro our relationship is easy goin like a boat
Our engines constantly pushing us ahead
Not to fast not to slow
The benches was sit on are hard and incomfortable at times
Luckily we have a snack bag of memories is there to fix our problems
So i will steer for now and hopefully not crash us into something

Best Friend Journal

A best friend of mine is Maddie Archer-Burton
She is spunky like a squirrel with a bag of peanuts
Personality bright at a LED light bulb flashing right in front of your eyes
She is hilarious when humor is needed and silent when a quiet time has come
Her family has nothing to do with Archer Farms
Nor with the Burton Snowboards as far as i know
But she is still an ideal best friend

My sister Katie

My sister Katie is as tall as a the oldest oak tree in the forest
Her voice shrill like a banshee's scream
Yet her words as soft as an unboild egg
Temper flares like a firework, but ends just as quickly
Though she is nice most of the time just like a cute little panda bear.

Out of the dark we came, into the…

The dangerous bed a lava.  Something was percuilar about this lava, it was cold. we ventured further out into the volcano but the lava became colder and colder.  When we reached the middle there was a pit falling down what looked like 1000 feet.  Luckily we had our volcano adventure kit which contained a 1000 foot rope and a 500 pound rock, although this bag was excessively heavy it was guarenteed to come in usefull on the label.  We lowed the rope down and fasted it too the rock.  As we began our descent the hole started to reek of girlish purfume.  When we reached the bottom we were shocked to seem a room filled with gorgeous women.  The room had couches TVs and a humungous refridgerator, by the looks of it these girls had lived here for years.  We landed with a thud and they all squealed with excitement.  A trupet played in the background anouncing our arrival. We were complimented for our bravery crossing the lava and our craftyness lowering ourselves into the room. And we all lived in the room forever and ever. The End

Limerick

There once was a student named Maddie
She was also kind of a fatty
She would yell and scream
Oh man she was mean
I doubt she will ever get lucky

A Day Ten Years From Today....

BANG I wake up with a start.  Something or someone has found the hideout.  I jump out of my hammock and pick up my baseball bat.  The room is dark. but we were underground so it was always dark.  Throwing on my nighvision goggles i dash out of the room ready to fight.  I saw it immediatly stumbling down the hall.  Looking above it i can see a man hole cover had been opened.  The beast must've fallen down while looking  for us, time to teach it a lesson.  As i approach more i can see the monster in more detail.  Magestically pure white fur, an upright body with a stong frame, hands outstretched infront of it idiotically looking for the wall.  The abominable snowman appeared to be a gental giant but looks can be misleading.  After 2012 to world had changed. With the discovery of this yeti they had come out of hiding and were now exterminating all of man kind.  The pod i live with in the sewer is one of few surviving humans, waiting for the moment to take back our earth.

ode to t-pain

T-Pain, you Take away all of my Pain
Your robotic voice ushering my depressed feelings down a dark ally
Donating your own type of Pain to those feelings, assureing they will not return
You ride on a boat like it is your chariot
I have deticated a quarter of high school to your memory
Golden and smiling, you now sit upon my windowsill
Top hat reflecting my soul into my eyes
Intoxicating my mind with music
You are my life

Most Embarassing Moments

I don't really get embarassed very often.  Since i am ssssooooooo funny i am used to being the center of attention and making jokes and what not.  BUT, when i was little i was not as good at this.  When i was 8 i had a dream. It was a very realistic dream but all the same it was a dream.  Then a couple weeks pass and i was talking to my brother about my dog when i remembered my dream.  I told my brother about how my dog had ran into the street and there was a car coming.  So like any smart dog would, she laid down and then car when harmlessly over her head.  When i finished this story my brother started to cry with laughter.  He immediatly went and told my entire immediate family and it was morifying. To this very day not one family get together passes without someone referring to that time when the dog almost got hit by a car.  This is pretty much the only embarassing thing that has happened to me that was actually memorable.  Lots of embarassing things happen to me everyday but they just dont matter very much.

Journal

You are walking down the street and out runs a zebra, you hear a roar and then out strolls a lion. It turns and looks your way…

as it sits down its back leg reaches up to scratch its ear.  You slowly back up to start running when the lion becomes alert.  It's ear perk up like barbs on a wire when you also hear the snapping of tree limps in the woods.  While the lion is distracted you take this opporunity to start to run.  Turning away as fast as you can you break into a dead sprint when a giant paw falls out of the sky obliterating the ground infront of you.  Your eyes follow the leg up to its owner until you reach its head.  Staring right back at you is a 50 foot killer poodle.  Blood red eyes pierce your soul as if the grim reaper himself was about to cut you down.  Just then the lion roars behind you and the poodle changes targets.  Cat's being their arc nemesis's the poodle bounds over to the lion.  There you are, baffled with your good fortune. You turn to run again when a deafening crash forces your eyes back to the animals.

Maddie wears leggings,
her eye's smell like strawberries,
Zebra print is cool.

Thank you letter

Salutations Jolly Green Giant!
I am writing you so I can thank you for all the wonderfull things you have done for the earth!  It is really cool that you supply people everywhere with such nutritious vegetables.  I have given this more thought than the average person and relize the hardships that you must have endured throughout history.  Your first true siting was, unrecognized by most, in the legend of Odysseus.  He encounters you while trying to sail home from Troy and thinks you are some horrible mosters.  It is understandable that you would lock him up because what if he had gotten out and ruined all your plants.  Clearly Odysseus was in the wrong stopping at your home and i do not blame you for any of the tragic events that occured.  All thoughout history there have been sitings of you and your family just like in this story and normally the people end up hunting your family down and killing them.  I feel for your lose bro...  It is amazing of you to still grow vege's for us even after these unfortunate mishaps and America thanks you

Your's Truely

Memorable Events

When Freckles (my dog) ate a five pound bag a mashmallows and wimpered all night because of her tummy ache

My sister Katie was baby sitting me and she mad beans and forgot the water and just burned them

Freckles running into the street and almost getting hit by a car but she layed down and it went over her

Making first chair tuba in the top band at EVHS
Marching band and all things that have to do with it

When my car turned into a alien fighting robot named bumble bee

Being bit by a radio active spider and getting super powers

Going to the mongolian grill in burnsville

Best/worst place in the world

The best place for me can also be my worst place.  When I sleep at night my dreams bring me to a wonderful place called imagination land.  In this place there and double rainbows and elegant girraffs running ramped through arctic snow dunes.  Although this place is the best place I have ever been there are also the days when everything is crashing down around me.  I know this is lame, or as some of you would say “Lamesauce” but the conditions of this place really just depend on what is happening to me in real life.  If things are going good there are double rain bows of joy and hundreds of feral pigs running up to give me loving hugs, but on bad days this place turns into my worst nightmare, if you will. Those rainbows turn into electric flying ant eaters that chase me through the night.  These beasts aren’t the worst of my problems though.  If I venture to far into the dunes I encounter a beast far worst.  Its talons sharp enough to cut a man in half, armpits that reek of dead cacti, and worst of all eye’s that piece your body down into the deepest part of your soul.  The leopluradon of my nightmares might only be three feet tall but it has devoted its entire life to being the end of my sleep.

Free Writing

In creative writing class i would like to learn about everything in the entire world. Why are oranges orange? How do mountain get snow on the top of them?  What do sea bears do in their free time?

Now i realize that not many people can answer my questions so i guess i could just stick to learning about different writing styles.  I am looking forward to writing the short story because i want to write like i am Mario in Mario Cart racing around one of the tracks and the hardships i would endure. Also since blogger does not capitalize my i's when they are left by themselves i would like to learn to hold down the shift key when i type them.
